“Roll over, roll over.”
That was from one of my favorite books as a kid. And, I think of it every time I lay in the bed with the dogs, or see them all together:

Three in the bed.
I get up to go to the bathroom, and this is what I come back to. The dogs were not arranged that way when I got up. I swear. ‘Cause where would I have slept? No where.
In other news, it was nearly 50 degrees today. And that was super. I hope it gets to 60 tomorrow like they say it will.
Last night, I downloaded a game for the Wii called “World of Goo.” Helen and I played a bit, and Bob seemed unimpressed. Until Helen was asleep. Then, he took an interest when he saw how awesome it was. I went to shower around 9, and joked “see you tomorrow” as I got ready for bed. Nearly 4 hours later, Bob came to bed. Hilarious.
This morning, I wake up, and the TV is already on, the game is already going:

Addict
It appears I’ve created a monster.
After work, I went to Jess’ to play with puppies. But the puppies left right after I got there because they got homes. Good, but lame ’cause I wanted puppy time. So instead, we went to dinner at Cracker Barrel where we wreaked havoc with magnetic salt and pepper shakers:

I'm a hoodlum.
We laughed for hours. (I may have also laughed for hours because I was so sugared up. Either way.)
Okay, so those of you that know me, know that I’m usually more of an Interweave Knits kinda girl. I’ve never really found the things in Vogue to be practical for me. However, one of the owners of my favorite LYS, Brooke Nico, has a gorgeous patten that got published in the Spring/Summer 2010 issue. And to help promote the buzz, they hired me to design an ad for their shop to get in this issue.
This morning, it was dropped at my desk via Rachel, as it was brought to knitting last night, but I wasn’t there:

The Kirkwood Ad!
I’m so excited to see it in print. :D I feel famous, even though my name is no where in the ad. Though, Bob says this makes me “ninja famous” – and I’m totally going to run with that.
By rule of new toy only, today was awesome.

Tea & Music with Harrison
I listened to podcasts and all my new music that couldn’t fit on Gertrude, the 4G iPod I’ve been using as my crutch. Harrison is dreamy. So sleek and awesome. Updated since the older iPods I’ve had, it now shows you which podcasts have been listened to, and that’s cool. Much easier to keep track this way.
I have the best boyfriend ever.
Bob texted me this morning to see if I wanted to have lunch. I said sure, so he came up to work to visit me. And he said he brought me a special treat. And he did.
My iPod came!!!!!! Lookit!:

Meet Harrison
Of course, I couldn’t use it at work ’cause nothing was on it yet. But it was the KNOWING that it was there. Since then, I’ve named him Harrison and loaded him with all of my music, tons of podcasts, and quite a few photos. Best part? It’s not even a quarter full yet.
160GB – I love you.
I’ve been cuddling in the mornings with Scout & Paisley on the couch. They’re so cute and snuggle-rific. Just look:

Nose Kisses
They love each other. :) I think Scout is turning out to be quite the good doggie.
I made the first stab at a new cupcake recipe today. Turned out okay. Not the best cupcakes ever, but not totally terrible either. Still needs work. Here are the pictures:

Yummy.
I think they looked better than they tasted. I may try a different cake base next time and ditch some of the pomegranate ideas… Maybe blueberry cupcakes? We’ll see.
Today was brunch with some coworkers and an adventure to see the knitted super hero costumes. It was neat.
I had a belgium waffle at brunch. It was super yum.

Syruppy Waffles are my favorite.
Today was a pretty good day. In honor of Friday, I broke my caffeine hiatus (after a year!) and caved into a frappuccino. And it was the best thing I’ve ever had. It made me bouncy all day. I was speaking LOL Cat in my head all day, I think. Best working Friday I’ve had in awhile. Though, it’s official proof for me that caffeine is a drug, and I should really not go back to my one caffeinated drink a day that I used to have. It has, however sparked me to figure out how to make a home made decaf frapp. Cause that would be amazing.

Much Needed.
Last night, Bob & I took Helen to have dinner at my parents’ house. Dad made steak, and it was really really good. Helen ate more than I did, I think she wants steak for dinner every night. :) We had a really great time hanging out and playing games. We also got the 35mm pictures back from the developer last night. A lot of the shots turned out really well (some of them are better than any of the shots I took on the trip!), though a lot of them are of me, haha.

It’s been way colder than it should be in STL this entire year. Which is really just 2 months, but seriously, burrr.
When we drove home from Arkansas, we stopped at the “World’s Largest Road Side Candy Shop.” Which was really just a gigantor salt water taffy stand. We got a pound or two of it, and one of the flavors I got was Egg Nog. It’s the best thing I’ve ever had.

Egg Nog Taffy
Which reminded me how much I love egg nog. I think that it should be available for the whole winter. I guess that I should learn to make it so that I can have it whenever I want. Because that would be super. I also think I should learn to make salt water taffy. Could be a fun activity.
