Officially Introducing…

Scout! She has chosen her name based on the very scientific system of me saying the possible names a few minutes apart from each other and whichever she responded best to was hers. Some of them didn’t even get a raised ear, but when I said “Scout” she came to me. So, there it is.

There haven’t been any accidents today, and the kennel was clean still after me being at work all day. She’s also learning that if she sits with Paisley in the doorway after being out in the yard she’ll get a treat. That only took two days. :) Her appetite is a good one, and she seems to understand that Paisley’s bowl isn’t her bowl. Paisley has been doing a great job going easy with play time, and she’s sharing toys and cuddles without seeming upset with the idea. They bonded today with naptime, treats, and snuggles.

It will still be a few weeks before Scout gets to sleep in the bed with Paisley & I, but she’s well on her way to earning the privilege.

In other news, I cannot believe it’s Christmas eve in 38 minutes. I should wrap presents. :)
