Today and was a good, long day for the doggies. I took them to Bob’s house before work, and they got to play with Simon all day. I think they had a blast, but Paisley had a little incident that involved a large piece of bark getting stuck under her eyelid and a quick trip to the vet. She’s totally fine, but she’s really squinty. It’ll get better with time, but for now I have to put drops in it, and she’s not happy about it. We were hoping to get her a pirate patch, but apparently they don’t stay on dogs. Bummer.

After work, I picked up pizza and headed back to Bob’s for dinner with him and his daughter. We had a blast. I discovered that I’m not very good at the new Mario Brothers for the Wii, but I’m pretty sure I’ll get better at it later on. I also got 10 rows of the vest done today. It’s the first real knitting I’ve done in about 2 weeks. :)

In other news, for those of you wondering what I meant when I said Paisley & Scout sleep like swans, I got a shot of it today:

Paisley sleeping tucked up.

Paisley sleeping tucked up.

Here’s another shot in case you can’t tell yet:

Tucked.

Tucked.

She’s so funny. And exhausted. Scout is too. It was a good day. :D

I nearly ALWAYS do toe up socks. You know exactly how much yarn you have left which means no guessing at how tall you can make them, you avoid little bits of leftovers AND there’s no fiddly grafting at the end. :-)
