The fit around the arms wasn’t quite right, so Tammy was awesome enough to hand sew some bust darts into it while I was wearing it, then it fit a lot better:

Then we went to the post office, which was a total bust. But I’ll save that story for the show. We got stuck in traffic, and arrived late to our own meet n greet (how embarrassing!). People had been patiently waiting, so we jumped right in:

Once the meet n greet was done, we went exploring. The fairgrounds were packed:

It was also about 90 degrees. I managed to rock the vest until about 3, when I just couldn’t take it anymore. Though, even without it, I didn’t feel any cooler.

So much happened Saturday that it was kind of a blur. I’ll talk more about it on the show when I get a chance to record.

Work was uneventful. Got to Bob’s and made my famous banana split cupcakes for him to take to work as a thanks to his co-workers for switching shifts with him so much since we’ve started dating. Here they are before the chocolate drizzle and cherries:

You’d think I’d remember to take a finished picture before he took them to work. But nope. I still have a few here that I can photograph, but I was a little sad I didn’t do the full shot. I hope they’re well received. :)

Trying to record.

I’m totally chilling out with the microphone. All set up and ready to go. But the things that I want to record aren’t the things that I have written down. And the things I have written down don’t quite seem as noteworthy as I’d like them to be.

What I’d like to record is several hours of the random thoughts that have been running through my head starting in September and coming up to tonight. Which, some of you may think is what I do on the show already. And you’re totally right. :)

But I think that what I’d really like to say the most is that it’s the strangest feeling in the world to go from being told that everything you seem to have ever known is a lie. And after being told that, you get it thrown in your face for months. And then, one day, you open your eyes and see for yourself that everything you have ever known was, indeed, wrong. And you go from being so hurt about this fake truth, to being so happy to realize that the whole time you were just confused.

Life has gone from black and white to technicolor in a matter of minutes and I’m never looking back.

I wish I had some other way to show you all this, like through interpretive dancing to show tunes, but I’m sure you’ll appreciate the words I’m typing just as well.
